Job Overview The position is for a Dispatcher who will provide emergency instructions to callers, dispatch emergency services personnel to alarms or other emergency calls and respond to questions related to site operations. Responsible for monitoring customer's security, fire, and other integrated systems. Position verifies alarm system activations and responds in an appropriate manner, adhering to all standards and procedures. This union represented position is located at the NASA/White Sands Test Facility In Las Cruces NM. The Dispatch Center is a 24-hour operation and will require working the coverage of all three shifts; day, swing and midnight on a rotation schedule. This posting may be used to fill fulltime and on call, temporary Dispatcher position(s). The temporary position will be used to fill in as needed for coverage during absences, training, etc. Pay is $19.67 hourly. We offer shift differential pay:

• $ .50 per hour for swing shift
• $1.00 per hour for graveyard shift

Work Model: Onsite ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:

• Operate a multi-telephone and emergency notification system in the NASA Fire and Emergency Services Dispatch Center of Fire and Security (Law Enforcement) operations.
• Responsible for all emergency telephone calls and radio communications for the Department as well as Security radio transmissions.
• Monitors a variety of alarm panels and Security Systems necessary for the protection of personnel and normal, daily operations.
• Perform various administrative duties as required.

Job RequirementsMandatory:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain a New Mexico Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification and NCIC (National Crime Information Center) Certification within one (1) year of hire.
• Obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background checks and/or drug testing as required on the contract.
