FCS employees are required to attend staff development trainings and participate in the performance evaluation process. Position Summary: Respond to emergency facilities needs by managing data in Maximo. Facilitate communications and perform documentation regarding corrective maintenance and emergency facility needs. Serve as a knowledgeable divisional resource for facilities staff and campus community. This position coordinates and consults with FCS and facility managers and directors, building coordinators, contractors, consultants, staff, student groups, and non-university private vendors in multiple aspects of day to day functions. Cultivates and maintains sound customer relations and assist in the promotion of facilities throughout the university. Perform work reception function for Facilities Services. This position is covered by the UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement. At the end of the probationary period employees will be required to pay union dues per Article 1 of the agreement. Starting wage for an S07 is $23.96/hr. Required Qualifications:
  • Formal training beyond high school of 6 months - 1 year and 2 years experience in a service-oriented business or equivalent combination of skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Requires a high degree of accuracy and alertness and calm demeanor.
  • Must be able to correctly prioritize and maintain awareness of multiple requests for assistance coming simultaneously from multiple sources as well as effectively communicate those priorities and statuses of requests to customers and stakeholders.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work during off-hours emergencies when necessary.
  • Prior work experience with computers necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: Individual should have a demonstrated work history that includes effective written and verbal communication. Knowledge of facilities and/or building systems helpful but not necessary.
