South Central Transit is now accepting applications for a FULL-TIME DISPATCHER/SCHEDULER for our Breese location.

At SCT, our dispatchers/schedulers are a reflection of our organization's commitment to safety and customer service.

This position is Monday-Friday with a varying shift schedule.

All dispatchers/schedulers are required to complete a pre-employment drug screen as well as participate in drug and alcohol testing program. SCT is a drug free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED/other related experience
• Computer knowledge and keyboarding skills of 40 wpm
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Good judgement and decision making

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting daily and future transportation operations
• Relaying information in a fast-paced environment
• Overseeing the routes and ensuring on-time performance
• Assigning drivers and buses to routes
• Monitoring drivers' locations and trips performed
• Handling heavy incoming call volume
