Position Type: Transportation Date Posted: 8/19/2024 Location: TJA Date Available: 09/03/2024 Closing Date: Until filled District: Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District #47 TJA is searching for a Dispatcher to assist with dispatching and various duties in the office. This is a full-time position. This is a non-bargaining unit position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Dispatching Answering phones & customer service Daily set up for PM coverage of routes/trips Email communications/Faxing Filing trip slips/logs/route sheets Data Entry Bidding and Reposts (weekly) Coverage of AM dispatch as needed Driving duties as needed Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Strong computer skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suites Strong keyboarding/typing skills Posses strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to exercise confidentiality, good judgment, and discretion Ability to work efficiently and positively under pressure Ability to multi-task B CDL with school bus permit or willingness to get it Knowledge of local school district boundaries prefered School transportation industry experience preferred This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
