A Day in The Life at MKS:
As a Distribution Coordinator at MKS, you will partner with Engineering, Production, Sales, and Planning teams to support production. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
* Performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
* Unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods, and rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
* Lifting heavy items and may operate a forklift.
* Preparing and maintaining records of merchandise shipped.
* Posting weights and shipping charges and preparing goods for final shipment.
* Examining, stocking, and distributing materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
* May prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
Skills You Bring:
* Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
* 2+ years of related experience.
* Prior experience performing shipping and receiving tasks preferred.
* Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
* Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
* Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to remain in a stationary position for 20% of the time.
* Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level.
* Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level.
