We cross the entire spectrum of business, government, health care, education and entertainment and we're currently seeking a Distribution Center Manager to join our team.The Distribution Center Manager will coordinate the efficient management of AVI Systems Dallas Warehouse and VLC (Velocity Logistics Center) supply chain network (inbound and outbound). Organize the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse goods, all while preserving, monitoring and insuring on time delivery. Streamline processes to eliminate wasted warehouse space and workload. Implement warehousing best practices to improvement space utilization and workflow. Support both branches with inventory management and logistics. Work side-by-side with Project Management, Velocity and Regional Deployment teams.Job ResponsibilitiesVerify correct invoice charges from suppliers and correct budget departments.Directly support Dallas warehouse operations by ensuring correct order processing, inbound and outbound flow of material coming from other AVI locations or suppliers, insuring receipt/delivery deadlines are met.Execute adequate supply chain planning and track progress.Maintain statistical and financial records, execute required reporting.Maintain inventory control in AVI warehouse by following cycle count / full hub inventory counts and documenting any discrepancies.Ensure cost effective and efficient transportation management according to supply chain strategies while controlling trend, cost and results.Responsible for packaging material purchases and management of material stock level while focusing on cost and quality. All while building relationships with suppliers.Train warehouse staff on best practices, track targets, tasks and KPIs, promote professional competence.Keep direct and functional supervisors updated of all relevant information.Liaising with suppliers, providers and other AVI departments.Develop use of IT structures, executing activities with aim to accomplish modern and effective management of technical resources.Skills and Knowledge RequiredBachelor's degree in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain (Preferred, but not required)Ability to drive a project by working with a variety of stakeholders.Warehouse management and inventory control experienceExperience with Six Sigma, manufacturing based process improvement and Kaizen concepts are strongly preferred.Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and Smartsheet.Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including Teamwork, Conflict Management, and negotiation.Strong technical skills and knowledge including but not limited to IT systems knowledge, Logistics Technical knowledge.Why Should You Apply?Our customers consider us an active partner in their planning and strategy, as we are on the cutting edge of where the market is headed.
