Fulfillment Manager

A global medical company seeks an experienced Fulfillment Manager to oversee the entire fulfillment process. This role encompasses managing order receipt, entry, administration, inventory procurement, and shipping operations. The Fulfillment Manager willlead a team of fivetwo Customer Service Representatives and three Distribution Associateshandling about 80 orders daily. In this position, quality and accuracy are paramount for medical product distribution, rather than high volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the order entry process and ensures customer service
  • Develop and enforce procedures, policies, and standards that provide customers with a high level of service
  • Guide the Customer Service team in taking ownership of customer problems
  • Establish and enforce internal and external communication protocols relating to customer inquiries, backorders, on-hold orders, standing orders, delayed orders

  • Approves/Releases Purchase Orders based on supplier's schedule
  • Reviews inventory regularly to identify trends, minimize loss from product expiration
  • Manages relationships and negotiates with suppliers and freight forwarding
  • Reviews and approves supplier and freight invoices
  • Collects forecast from sales organization and incorporates into the purchasing schedule
  • Organize the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods
  • Optimizes warehouse including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems to meet current and future needs
  • Performs routine inspection of assets to ensure accuracy
  • Handles human resource: recruiting, selecting,training, scheduling, coaching,reviewing compensation; enforcing policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)

Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

Experience managing people, including the ability to carry out personnel evaluations, set performance targets, engage new employees and identify and possibly deliver training.

Experience shipping medical or laboratory equipment a plus

Knowledge of FDA regulations related to medical device shipping a plus

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CPIM) will be a plus
