Department OverviewThe Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.
Position SummaryProvides business intelligence for decision-making and operational performance. Plans and forecasts by establishing targets and monitor construction hours/unit. Analyzes and reports the variances between budget and actual.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
1. Minimum: $95,0002. Midpoint: $114,0003. Maximum: $143,000
Job Responsibilities• Develops tactical plans to deal with various cost drivers and emerging issues. Leads local, regional, or system-wide special initiatives. Presents financial findings and provides recommendations• Provides counsel and guidance to less experienced peers, leadership team and Program Managers on operational performance management issues, tools and measurement. • Reviews cost monitoring systems to ensure that adequate controls are in place to uncover and correct erroneous charges. SME regarding division budget and operations. Trains or acts as mentor to less experienced Analysts.
QualificationsMinimum:• High School Diploma or GED • Six (6) or more years of utility or related business experience Desired:• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience• Experience in business planning, or related• Experience with SAP
