Distribution Person Maryland Heights Weir Minerals Onsite-2nd Shift Purpose of Role: The Distribution Person is responsible for loading and unloading trucks as well as picking and packing customer orders with accuracy.   • Warehouse Operations: Locate and pull parts of various sizes and materials to fill machining, assembly, and customer orders, in accordance with warehouse inventory management system and current distribution procedures
  • Organizational Efficiency : Stock shelves, racks, or ground locations and store parts in their proper location
  • Shipping Preparations: Properly prepare product being shipped, whether packaged in box, on a skid, or in a crate based on size, bulk, and quantity, keeping in mind safety, weight, size, potential damage, and customer domestic/export requirements
  • Housekeeping: Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and work areas including all designated distribution storage locations, keeping safety in mind at all times
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture
Job Knowledge/ Education and Qualifications:
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to use and navigate a computer
