Distribution Specialist II Santa Monica, CA Schedule: Standard Office Hours Duration: 6-Month Contract Pay Range: $25-30/hr, depending on experience Job Description Responsibilities: - Perform routine administrative and/or physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of company products/inventory. - Input information regarding movement and handling of products in a computerized inventory system. - Organize and maintain accurate records associated with Distribution activities. - Perform basic transactions associated with Distribution processes through internal and external computer systems. - Adhere consistently to SOPs and cGMPs. - Escalate deviations in process or product to supervisor to ensure on-time delivery of material and return of rejected or unsuitable orders. - Notify relevant departments as items are received, shipped, or processed, as required. - Physically examine incoming or outgoing shipments, products, or samples to ensure they meet specifications and match paperwork. - Identify and record deviations, escalating to supervisor when necessary. - May perform or operate machinery to execute routine physical handling of items, including assembling packaging, affixing shipping labels and instructions, and moving shipments. - May perform basic tasks associated with sampling of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), excipients, and packaging components. Essential Duties and Job Functions: - Ensure accurate data input into computerized inventory systems. - Consistently follow SOPs and cGMP regulations. - Escalate deviations or issues with orders to supervisors. - Handle routine tasks associated with packaging, shipping, and receiving products. - Conduct physical inspections of shipments and record deviations. - Notify appropriate teams when shipments or products are received, shipped, or processed. - Assist with sampling and inspection tasks as needed. Knowledge & Skills: - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to handle physical tasks related to shipping and receiving. - Knowledge of basic inventory systems and transaction processing. - Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures. - Understanding of cGMP and SOPs. - Ability to communicate and escalate issues effectively. - Basic understanding of machinery and handling equipment used in distribution.
