Distribution Team Lead

Assists in monitoring and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Distribution Center. Responsible for assisting the Manager and Supervisor in directing the shipping employees, conducting daily inventory counts, preparing reports for management, determining & reconciling product and locations of stored products, and ensuring accurate handling and storage of finished goods inventory. Assists in meeting Bimbo Bakehouse standards for Quality, GMP's, Safety and Productivity.

What you will be doing:

• Assists in directing and monitoring of shipping employees.
• Perform necessary transactions in WMS environments.
• Resolve paperwork and scheduling issues with deliveries of inbound product.
• Coordinates and audits Receipt of Inbound and Outbound paperwork and flow of picking orders for Forklift Operators.
• Coordinate carrier pickup and flow to the shipping docks, loading and unloading of trailers.
• Ensures proper release and handling of all inventory in WMS systems.
• Coordinates replenishment of product from production to proper location in Distribution Center.
• Participates in Cycle Counts of Inventory as required.
• Performs duties of a Forklift Operator as required during staff shortages.
• Oversees Housekeeping duties of shipping employees.
• Performs all other duties and assignments as required by Supervisors/Manager.
• Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Safety and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

Position Requirements:

What we need from you:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift Experience (Stand-up Reach, Stand-up Dock Stocker, Walkie Rider and Sit down forklift).
• Working knowledge of WMS preferred.
• Mature and conscientious attitude.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with other departments.
• Experience working in a Distribution Warehouse.
• Experience in a leadership capacity.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
• Computer literacy a must - Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong Math skills.
• Ability to multi-task, be organized & detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment -5 degrees.
• Capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of WMS environments a strong plus.
• Should have successfully completed the required probationary period.
• Must not have a Final Written Warning within the past 12 months.
