Job Title: District Manager

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Colorado | South, Co Springs, Pueblo

Position Objective

The District Manager at Schwazze plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a cluster of 5-8 retail stores within the cannabis industry. This position is integral to our organization's growth and success, offering the opportunity to develop leadership skills, drive sales, ensure compliance, and create a positive work culture within the district. District Managers will be responsible for optimizing store performance, coaching and mentoring store managers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership and Development (40%)

  • Recruit, select, and onboard store managers and associates for each location within the district.
  • Provide continuous coaching, guidance, and mentorship to store managers to enhance their leadership skills.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages employee growth and retention.
  • Oversee talent development initiatives and create a talent pipeline for future leadership roles.

Operational Excellence (30%)

  • Implement and execute operational strategies to maximize sales, customer engagement, and store profitability.
  • Collaborate with store managers to develop and maintain budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Monitor and evaluate store performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards across all stores within the district.

Sales and Customer Engagement (30%)

  • Drive sales growth and market share by setting sales targets and action plans for each store.
  • Analyze sales trends and inventory requirements, making data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Maintain a strong focus on exceptional customer service, creating a customer-centric retail environment.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional and marketing initiatives within the district.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in retail management, preferably in the cannabis industry, is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive results.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and regulations in the cannabis industry is beneficial.

A Plus, but Not Required

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Extensive multi-unit management experience.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce operations.
  • Familiarity with retail sales incentive and loyalty programs.

Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

  • Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Travel required within the district as needed to support store operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
