Position Overview
Lawrence Correctional Center is seeking to add a detail-oriented staff member to serve as an Office Associate in the Record Office. The main duty of Record Office staff is to honor the intent of the sentencing court while maintaining accurate records associated with current incarceration. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions
* Performs sentence calculation adjustments, including revocation and restoration of good conduct credits and Earned Program Sentence Credits (EPSC).
* Prepares all documentation related to individuals in custody status.
* Composes and keyboards correspondence to outside agencies including Sheriff's Offices, States Attorney, and courts regarding individual in custody for purposes of court appearances, pending charges, verification of custody dates, and/or implementation of sentencing orders.
* Maintains a filing system to ensure that individuals in custody are reviewed for restoration of lost good time by distributing docketed information through use of O360.
* Maintains individual in custody master files, confirming that filing is kept according to facility standards.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
* Requires two (2) years of office experience.
* Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.

* Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
* Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of the position held, is prohibited.
