DOC LINCOLN CARPENTER - State of Illinois : Job Details

The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a Carpenter to work at Lincoln Correctional Center. This position is responsible for performing general carpentry work through the facility and grounds as well as guiding individuals in custody assigned to the carpentry crew. Essential Functions Performs general carpentry work in the repair, maintenance, construction, and alteration of walls, doors, furniture, roofing, and other wooden articles or structures. Performs carpentry functions throughout the facility and grounds. Guides and directs individuals in custody assigned to the carpenter crew. Maintains and cleans carpenter shop and tools. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
