CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Document Control Specialist .

Type: Contract

Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Location: Oneonta, NY

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Oneonta, NY

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

Top/Required Skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment).

  • Previous experience using ETQ or other Document Management software is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other Quality System standards.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 Quality Management Systems is highly preferred.

  • Extremely organized with the ability to compare documentation across multiple resources.

Description

This role is essential for managing quality management system documents and records. The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for initiating document changes, distributing and notifying teams about document updates, and assisting with preparations for internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, review, and maintain quality system documents such as procedures, work instructions, job aids, and certificates of conformance, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and 21 CFR 820 standards.

  • Initiate Change Controls and Document Change Requests to update procedures and processes.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to update and revise processes and procedures.

  • Support the management of the document review and retention processes.

  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for document control related processes.

  • Support other Quality Assurance functions as needed, such as internal audits and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience (2+ years). Manufacturing environment experience is preferred.

  • Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience with ETQ or other Document Management Software is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other Quality System standards required.

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 Quality Management Systems is highly preferred.

  • Must be highly detail-oriented and accurate in execution of tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
