Job Title: Documentation SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Documentation Specialist will provide general support functions related to international shipping documentation for our staff and clients. This includes documentation retrieval, communication status reporting, auditing, and filing of international trade transactions.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all communications are completed neatly, professionally, accurately, and error-free, with all current information in proper order and within corporate standards for timeliness.Ensure all documentation complies with customer and government requirements/special instructions.Complete final inspection for accuracy of documentation received, ensuring all charges and fields are correct and inclusive according to account coordinator's instructions.Document, maintain, and update work processes/procedures as they relate to each customer account.Maintain regular communication with office personnel regarding obstacles preventing timely processing of documentation.Essential SkillsComfortable working with computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)Good communication and organization skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsA High School Diploma/GED is required.At least one (1) year of work experience in a customer service functionPrevious experience working in an office environment is strongly desiredAbility to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desiredAbility to learn various computer programsSAP experience is a plusLogistics experience is a plusWork EnvironmentThe work environment consists of a cubicle set-up in a corporate office setting. Each employee will have their own desk with 2 monitors. The office is climate-controlled and currently follows a casual dress code, which will eventually transition to business casual.
