**Description**

Provides friendly, fast, accurate and safe customer service. As the main point of contact for someone donatingitems to Goodwill, outstanding customer service and the ability to move quickly is required. Follows guidelines to accept, receive and sort donations received from the public. Assist with material handling by moving full and empty containers/gaylords using pallet jacks. Assists with the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe working area for co-workers and donors. May be required to work as a processor at times.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Education and/or Experience:** High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior customer service experience preferred.

**Screenings:** A background screening will be completed as a condition of employment.

**PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIROMENT REQUIREMENTS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

- Must be able to withstand prolonged considerable physical exertion including standing, bending, lifting and stretching up to 8 hours per day.

- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for more than 75% of the shift.

- Must be able to handle, feel and occasionally smell objects to determine quality and condition.

- Must be able to talk and hear well enough to successfully communicate with customers and co-workers.

- Must have vision corrected to within normal limits and be able to correctly identify colors.

- May occasionally be required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently. Will need to team lift 100 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds numerous times throughout the shift. Must be able to lift textiles on hangers up to 5 pounds at or above head level for occasionally.

- Must be able to operate a pallet jack.

- Must be able to work in wet/humid and hot environments both inside and outside.

- Occasionally will be exposed to aggressive customers.

- Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals.

- Frequent exposure to unfit donated goods and materials.

- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.

- Ability to work in an environment with a moderate noise level.

- Must be able to work a varied schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekend and holidays.

- Must be able to function in a hectic work environment.
