Drafter - NOV : Job Details

Be part of the NOV Fiberglass Systems team as a Drafter at our Conroe, Tx facility! As a Drafter, you play a crucial role in creating, updating, and maintaining drawings while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Work with Engineering to generatedrawings for the development of new tooling and equipment or to upgrade existing equipment* Work with Engineering and Product Development to create or maintain and revise product drawings as necessary* Maintain drawing files in an organized manner* Wear appropriate PPE when in required areas* Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures* Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures* Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures* Other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or control; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.* Travel less than 10%EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:* High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred* This is a DAY SHIFT positions are routinely scheduled Monday through Friday.* Experience in the drafting field preferred; Formal training in drafting or design may be substituted for experience* Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent* Proficient with Microsoft Office* Basic math and writing skills* Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required* Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment* Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operationsTo learn more about our Benefits: learn more about the Business Unit: Fiber Glass Systems Webpage
