Job Description :
The Drafting Technician II at ASG is responsible for transforming field notes, whether electronic or hand drawn, into electronic documents capable of being uploaded into client specific systems. Responsible for mid-level drafting and design prints and will be monitored by the manager. What you'll do: (Including, but not limited to):
    • Perform technical drafting and engineering design support for specific projects
    • Expected to develop an understanding of proprietary design software through hands-on training
    • Work with Engineers and Survey Technicians to ensure accurate information is presented on plan sets; assist them in the field when applicable
    • Follow specific and detailed procedures already implemented and required to adjust and adapt to changing standards and procedures
    • Communicate effectively to direct and upper management and can speak to progress of a project at any given time
    • Work with the Quality Control Specialist to ensure accuracy of prints and submission
    • Adept understanding of the Scope of Project
    • Maintain daily reports with job status and completions
    • Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification
What you'll need: General
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1+ years of knowledge and experience with proprietary software and an understanding of multiple engineering disciplines
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings
  • Working understanding of architectural and construction detailing
  • Knowledge of proprietary software, AutoCAD, and Visio a plus
  • Experience in wireless, telecom, technology, and electronics a plus
  • Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
