Urbana Materials, a local aggregate producer in Urbana, OH, is currently seeking an experienced Dredge Operator. If you are an experienced dredge operator who would like to work with well- maintained equipment please consider applying. We provide steady work and the resources needed to do your job.

Dredge Operator Responsibilities:

* Operate dredge to excavate sand and gravel from Lake Bottom

* Conduct pre- and post-shift safety inspection

* Monitor density and flow meters to maintain maximum feed rate

* Monitoring of controls, gauges and depth meters to ensure optimal operation

* Visually monitor production area for changes in material quality

* Perform high levels of maintenance and servicing on dredge

* Raises and lowers the suction ladder of the dredge with electric or hydraulic hoist

* Changes the location of the dredge in the lake with hydraulic or mechanical cable winches

* Operates a work boat to and from the dredge

* Communicate with plant operators

* Communicate with plant management on all safety and maintenance needs

Dredge Operator Qualifications:

* 1 plus years working at an aggregate mining operation

* 1 plus years operating a dredge

* Mechanically inclined

* General welding & fabricating experience

* Heavy equipment operation experience
