Drilling Services Operator - Florence Copper : Job Details

Florence Copper is expected to have the lowest energy and greenhouse gas-intensity (GHG) of any copper producer in North America and will reduce the United States' reliance on foreign producers for a metal considered to be critical for the transition to a low-carbon economy. Florence Copper is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taseko Mines Limited which is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Taseko is also the operator and the owner of the Gibraltar copper/molybdenum mine in Canada and various other development projects.Overview: Reporting to the Drilling Superintendent, the Drilling Services Operator will complete services associated in support of drilling operations and assist with various activities as necessary.Responsibilities:•Move supplies and operate equipment in support of ongoing drilling operations.•Support drilling operations while maintaining a safe work environment and follow all standards, policies and procedures, including OSHA standards.•Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs and troubleshoot on drill services equipment to ensure optimal performance.•Utilize mobile equipment including a water truck, vacuum truck, telehandler, and other commercial vehicles and equipment as needed.•Coordinate activities with other team members effectively.Experience: •Proficiency in rig operations and maintenance.•Experience in heavy equipment operations including water trucks, vac trucks and telehandlers.•Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting repairs. Work Environment:•Lifting and carrying large (50+ lbs) tools and equipment independently. •Working in various weather conditions for long periods of time.•Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper's site Health and Safety program.•Must have a valid Driver's License, CDL is a plus•Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and background check
