Driver II - Lifespan Health System : Job Details

Under general supervision of the Central Laundry Manager, operates vehicles intra and interstate to pick up and deliver materials and supplies. Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in order to operate Brown University Health leased/owned motor vehicles requiring CDL. Responsibilities:Makes pickups and deliveries at affiliate sites. Loads and unloads clean, soiled textiles, materials and supplies and delivers them to locations designated by supervisor. Ensures all deliveries are signed for by site receiving area or unit. Washes interior of vehicle after unloading soiled load prior to loading clean loads. Ensures the truck is loaded properly and load in secured to prevent shifting in transport. Loads and unloads truck carefully to prevent damage to the interior of truck, supply carts or the items being transported. Prepares and submits daily Driver's Vehicle Inspection Report as required by the Department of Transportation.
