By keeping our customers first, and providing them with the best safety, quality, OTIF, innovation, and value-added services, we will create virtuous cycles of mutual benefit, resulting in profitable returns for years to come.Summary of Position:The Driver/Warehouse Representative is responsible for operating company vehicles in a safe manner, loading products into the vehicles and delivering products to customers, completing necessary paperwork, and communicating any vehicle-related issues to management. The incumbent also works pulling orders, stocking products, and completing necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. The incumbent will work in a team environment where safety is the top priority.Essential Functions:
  • Understanding all training and safety instructions associated with the process the employee is assigned to perform.
  • Following shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Determining the details of each delivery.
  • Collecting and loading stock in a manner that prevents breakage.
  • Ensuring that the truck has sufficient fuel at all times.
  • Informing clients and your manager of potential delays.
  • Delivering stock to clients on or before each deadline.
  • Completing and submitting all necessary documentation.
  • Keeping track of all expenses and submitting proof of expenses.
  • Reporting all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention.
  • Referring to and following shipping and receiving instructions on all deliveries.
  • Referring to the General Manager for any questions regarding shipping and receiving instructions.
  • Following job instructions as posted at warehouse office or in Document Control Center.
  • Pulling of orders to be shipped and completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Receiving and putting away of product and completing all necessary paperwork.
Qualifications:Required:
  • High School degree
  • Clean New York State driver's license, Class B preferred
  • Ability to provide successful completion of current DOT physical exam
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate hand and power jacks
  • Forklift Certified
  • Ability to read and follow shipping and receiving instructions
  • Ability to use GPS equipment
  • Compliance with all road and transport rules
  • Good time management skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to work beyond regular scheduled hours when delivery delays occur
  • Ability to read and identify part numbers for order pulling
  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Worker
  • Proficiency in inventory software
  • Good organizational skills
