Working with us, you would be applying joint compound and finishing gypsum wallboard surfaces on commercial and government projects. For this role, you will be responsible for:
Gather and carry materials. Clean work areas and equipment. Measure and cut materials. Position needed equipment. Read and understand project blueprints. Covering trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and other protective coverings. Setting up ventilators and other safety equipment. Removing old finish using scrapers, and/or other tools. Preparing surfaces to be painted by filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them. Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces. Mixing and matching paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications. Applying paint, stain, and other finishes using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers. Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids. Be able to work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts. Be able to use powder actuated tools and lasers. Always ensure compliance with industry and safety standards. Must be able to work individually and as a team player. Maintain construction schedules including phasing. And other duties as assigned by your manager. Additional Qualifications that will make you successful in the role: Experience in a Construction related industry preferred. 2 to 4 years of commercial Drywall Finishing experience. Ability to read a tape measure. Tools and transportation. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to pass a drug test.
