DSF Associate Job ID 189861 Posted 21-Oct-2024 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Los Angeles - California - United States of America About the Role: The CBRE Los Angeles office is seeking candidates for an Associate to join a newly established Los Angeles-based Debt & Structured Finance team, with a primary focus on institutional debt and equity placement. The Associate will support three senior investment bankers/brokers in a fast-paced environment and play an integral role in the financing of properties and portfolios across all product types and geographies. The candidate will be expected to contribute to all aspects of a transaction, from underwriting and cash flow modeling to the preparation of pitch and marketing materials, to deal marketing and execution. The role will be an in-office position and will be based in Century City. ARGUS proficiency and strong writing and analytic skills will be a prerequisite. What You'll Do:
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
- Assist in the training of new analyst hires
- Participate in networking events and conferences and help contribute to new business leads
- Create and maintain databases and update templates and models as needed
- Establish and build relationships with clients and lenders through calls, meetings, events
- Prepare presentations, pitch books, financing offering materials and key deal summaries and bid matrices, liaising with clients, graphics, and other key team members
- Evaluate client and third-party information (leases, operating statements, budgets, research, etc.) to complete property level or market analysis
- Perform financial underwriting and modeling of real estate transactions using ARGUS or Excel as required
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding. - Bachelor's Degree required with up to 5 years of relevant experience. Preference for concentrations in real estate, finance, business, or accounting.
- Real estate sales license preferred
- Strong understanding of ARGUS and excel based modeling
- Strong presentation, writing, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of fundamental real estate finance concepts
- Ability to work and meet project deadlines in a face-paced environment.

The minimum salary for the DSF Associate position is $45.67 hourly and the maximum salary for the position is $52.88 hourly.
