Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Weekends - $19.75/hr
Wingspan Life Resources has weekend shift openings for committed, high-quality Direct Support Professionals (DSP) providing services to people with developmental and other disabilities in our group homes across the Twin Cities Metro area. Experience is not required, and paid training is provided. This posting includes only weekend shifts.
What You Will Do:
DSPs are the foundation of Wingspan's services. DSPs assist residents with daily routines; home care; personal care such as showering and bathing, brushing teeth; and medical administration. They build relationships, implement individual program plans, participate with our clients in recreational activities, and perform other duties as necessary. Direct Support Professionals are responsible for protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of each individual.

Qualifications:
* 18 years of age or older
* High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
* Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, read, and write in English
* Must be comfortable with and willing to assist with client's personal cares such as bathing, showering, brushing teeth, etc.
* Must be comfortable using a computer
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb
* Ability to complete tasks such as shoveling, mowing, vacuuming, shopping, and pushing a wheelchair.
* The ability to successfully pass a background check as determined by the Department of Human Services
* A valid Driver's License, reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check
* The ability to have passion for helping individuals feel happy, successful, and safe in their lives is highly desired.
