The Role:
As General Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring operational excellence and maximizing profitability across multiple stores. You'll lead a team of 165 employees, across 7 stores, shaping the customer experience and driving results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead operations to ensure alignment with company goals and maintain the highest level of customer service
* Collaborate with the Country General Manager and Regional Manager to set financial and inventory goals
* Analyze KPIs and take corrective actions to drive sales performance
* Lead weekly and monthly team meetings, covering key areas like sales, promotions, and HR updates
* Manage store performance, comparing sales targets to past periods and budgets
* Develop and implement action plans based on results from team meetings
* Maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, customs, vendors, and other external partners
* Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure top-tier customer service
* Drive employee engagement and support training initiatives
* Oversee P&L, budgeting, and cost control efforts to maximize profit
* Coordinate with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Marketing teams to optimize inventory levels and promotions
* Lead new store openings in partnership with the VP, establishing operational success
What We're Looking For:
* Experience: 5+ years as a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in a high-volume, multi-unit retail environment
* Retail Knowledge: Previous experience working with luxury brands and a strong understanding of the travel retail sector
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a dynamic setting
* Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to identify challenges and implement solutions
* Project Management: Experience in capital project management and store openings
* Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets, KPIs, P&L, and inventory effectively
