Let People, Incorporated be Your Path to Opportunity!The People, Incorporated Children's Center is looking for a Early Childhood Teacher Assistant -Substitute to assist with planning and implementing program goals and activities for Pre-Schoolers. The Teacher Assistant oversees parent involvement in daily living activities and maintains a healthy and safe environment for all program participants. EEC certification preferred. Associate's degree preferred. High School diploma or GED and valid driver's license required, as well as a qualifying criminal background check, and motor vehicle record.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily living activities such as feeding, diapering, and washing.
• Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
• Participate in planning child activities including preparing materials, equipment and food.
• Maintain pertinent records such as daily charts as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge in field through appropriate educational activities.
• Perform support duties as requested by the teacher.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
• Maintain all program and Agency required trainings

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent or meeting EEC standards.
• Ability to interact appropriately with children, clients and staff.
• A qualifying criminal background check
• Driver's license preferred but not required
