Early Childhood Teacher
Are you a college student passionate about working with young children? Arrow Child Development Center, an eco-friendly, in-home childcare program, is looking for reliable and dedicated students to join our team as Early Childhood Teachers! This is a great opportunity for students pursuing education, child development, psychology, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate class schedules, with both part-time and full-time positions, this can be either a Temp (until the end of Summer) or Permanent depending on your availability and class load. Once set, schedules remain consistent to provide stability for both staff and children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote whole-child development.
- Engage with children in play-based, nature-inspired learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
- Diaper changes and toilet training.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through positive interactions.
- Follow health, safety, and eco-friendly guidelines in the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing a degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, summer camps, etc.) is highly valued.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a set schedule once finalized.
- Passion for early childhood education and a willingness to learn.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- CDA or Director's Credential is a plus but not required.
