Position Summary

As an Early Learning Tutor, youll spend your days helping kids ages 3-5 talk, read, write, sing, and play to develop early reading and math skills. Working closely with a teacher in a classroom, youll enhance daily activities and help our youngest learners build both skills and confidence. With training and on-site coaching, you'll be prepared to help kids succeed. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact.

It Starts with a Passion
Early Learning Corps takes everyday people and trains them to be great tutors. Anyone can become a tutor as long as they have a passion to make a difference and meet the following minimum qualifications.
By the time they begin their service, our tutors are:
*Applicants who have received deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security are not eligible to serve in our programs at this time. DACA applicants may be eligible for Americorps VISTA programs. For more information, click here.
Compensation & Perks Package:While youre making a difference, youll receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks and additional perks! As an AmeriCorps program we have both federally provided benefits and program specific benefits.

Early Learning Corps is powered by AmeriCorps members who serve as tutors. Started in 2003, Early Learning Corps has helped more than 115,000 children build early literacy and numeracy skills and get ready for Kindergarten. Early Learning Corps is an Ampact educational program that is fueled by research from the National Science + Service Collaborative.
