Job Overview:Our high school is seeking individuals to join our team as High School Athletic Workers. This versatile role encompasses various responsibilities during home athletic contests, including Ticket Taker, Scoreboard Operator, Shot Clock Operator, Game Manager, and Announcer. The ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork to contribute to the success of our athletic events. Please note that this position is on a substitute or as-needed basis.Responsibilities:* Ticket Taker* Greet and assist spectators at entrance gates.* Collect and verify tickets or admission fees.* Ensure a smooth and efficient entry process for attendees.* Scoreboard Operator* Operate the game scoreboard in accordance with the sport's regulations.* Coordinate with referees and officials to accurately update scores and game-related information.* Address any technical issues promptly.* Shot Clock Operator* Manage the shot clock timing during applicable sports events.* Collaborate with officials to ensure adherence to game rules.* Troubleshoot and resolve any shot clock-related issues.* Game Manager* Oversee the overall organization and logistics of home athletic contests.* Coordinate with coaches, officials, and support staff to ensure a well-managed event.* Address unforeseen challenges and ensure a positive experience for all involved.* Announcer* Provide lively and informative announcements before, during, and after games.* Introduce players, share game updates, and convey important information to spectators.* Maintain a professional and engaging tone throughout the event.Qualifications:* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.* Basic knowledge of sports rules and regulations (depending on role).* Technical proficiency for operating cash machines, scoreboards, shot clocks, and related equipment.* Ability to be trained and carry out cash handling procedures in alignment with Washington State School Accounting Manual and Washington State Auditor's Office guidelines.Physical Requirements:*
