ED PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE - Burnett Medical Center : Job Details

Job Type Part-time Description Burnett Medical Center is looking for a part-time ED Patient Access Representative. This position greets and registers patients for the Emergency Department. SHIFT/HOURS: 0.275 FTE (22 hours per pay period); 9am-9pm every other Saturday and Sunday RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet and register patients, obtain required signatures/forms. Work with families, medical staff and other healthcare personnel when needed. Other assigned tasks may include admitting/discharging patients, transferring appropriate paperwork, calling other medical facilities for information or transfer. Patient confidentiality required. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Clerical experience and/or previous registration experience is preferred. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, compassionate personality, ability to multi-task, self-starter, and a team player. Medical field background a plus, but not necessary.
