Assists with the care of hospital patients by performing various routine patient care activities and related non-professional services. Provides interval and constant observation of patients.EEO/AA/Disability/VeteranResponsibilities* 1. Demonstrates appropriate interval and constant observation intervention.* 1.1 Remains in visual contact with patient as required.* 2. Reports any changes observed in patient's condition, behavior and/or verbalization immediately to Registered Nurse/Manager.* 2.1 In an emergency, uses phone system to call for assistance.* 3. Collects and records data.* 3.1 Assists patients with the use of bedpan, urinal or to the bathroom if permitted. Gives, removes, cleans, and replaces bedpans/urinals.QualificationsEDUCATIONHigh school graduate or equivalent.EXPERIENCEHealthcare related experience or education preferred.LICENSUREN/ASPECIAL SKILLSShows maturity in interview process. References state applicant to be responsible and considerate, good communication skills.
