In this role, you'll work closely with customers onsite as well with the internal network operations team to install, configure, and troubleshoot customer networks.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Tier 1 NOC and Voice support.
  • Provision, configuration, and install network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, customer premise equipment, wireless access points, VOIP phones, and analog devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer tickets involving data and voice.
  • Monitor network monitoring dashboard for outages or customer affecting issues.
  • Document and report all network incidents and outages according to policy
  • Tasks and projects relevant to the position as needed relevant to the position
Requirements
  • Ability to proficiently use Windows, Linux OS (optional though beneficial).
  • Proficient with computers and baseline IT knowledge.
  • Familiar with routing and switching.
  • Familiar with phone systems including PBX, VOIP, and Analog.
  • Networking knowledge encompassing OSI model layers 1-3
  • Ability to troubleshoot networks using tools such as Wireshark, ping,traceroute, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Strong personal motivation.
  • Able to work independently when needed and function as part of a team.
Desired Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Networking preferred.
  • Juniper JNCIA-Junos/JNCIS-SP, Comptia A+/Net+, Nokia NRS 1, Cisco CCNA, or similar certifications preferred.
  • 1 Year of IT/Networking experience preferred.
