Education Coordinator- Early Education - Hazleton Integration Project : Job Details

Hazleton Integration Project is looking for a Education Coordinator to run all educational programs, including the Time 2 Learn Pre-K Program, After School Scholars Program, and Summer Camp. The coordinator must be committed to providing administrative support to both programs and ensuring compliance with childcare regulations from the Department of Human Services. This position requires a minimum of 30 work hours per week.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and 1 year of experience in childcare OR associate degree in same fields and 3 years of experience in childcare

•Able to complete childcare clearances and background checks

•Complete paid training and professional development

•Completed COVID-19 vaccination

•Able to work minimum 30 hours per week

Responsibilities:

•General management of the facility including supervising program staff, overseeing facility maintenance, coordinating meal programs, and hiring/training new staff

•Ensuring that all educational programs remain in compliance with DHS childcare regulations including staff files, student files, and

•Maintaining connections with educational partners to provide new educational programming

•Planning and implementing educational programs including Summer Camp

•Supervising Time 2 Learn Pre-k and Afterschool Scholars program to ensure daily operations, curriculum, and teaching procedures align with HIP's mission
