Founded in 1986, St. Charles Community College (SCC) is one of the best two-year colleges in the state of Missouri. SCC serves more than 10,000 students in St. Charles County, a northwestern county outside of St. Louis, MO. SCC's main campus, located in Cottleville, houses 12 award-winning buildings known for its innovative, contemporary educational village design and spans over 256 acres. A satellite campus in Dardenne Prairie features a state-of-the-art Center for Healthy Living, encompassing allied health and nursing programs, culinary studies, and agriculture studies. Other satellite locations include the Wentzville Technical Center, Commercial Driving School and a planned Regional Workforce and Innovation Center in Wentzville.POSITION SUMMARYThe Educational Experience Coordinator provides coordination for academic support programs within culinary and agriculture programs at the Field to Table Institute. This position works closely with the instructional leads in culinary and agriculture to identify and implement student experiences, including internships. The position serves as the primary advocate for enhancing the overall student experience and ensures the success and engagement of students outside the classroom.This position is expected to create a positive and supportive learning environment and ensure consistency in supporting innovative instructional practices and support programs. The Coordinator will develop initiatives to support student retention, engagement and success and will work in partnership with college departments to facilitate recruitment and college offerings. The Educational Experience Coordinator will provide mentorship to students, helping them navigate their educational and career pathways.In collaboration with Instructional Staff, this position will develop and implement assessment methods to evaluate students' progress and teaching effectiveness. The Coordinator will assist with the collection and interpretation of data related to student performance and success. Additionally, the position will evaluate assessment data to identify areas of improvement and adjust instructional strategies, as needed.The Educational Experience Coordinator will act as a liaison between students, instructors and administrators to foster a positive learning environment with hands-on, customer facing opportunities.The Educational Experience Coordinator will be required to teach a minimum of two courses in the culinary program, along with other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESDemonstrated commitment to supporting academic support programs through quality and excellence.Develop and maintain effective relationships and communication with students, faculty, and staff in a diverse environment. Ability to network and expand educational partnerships and collaborate with business and industry professionals.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from a variety of multi-cultural backgrounds. Position requires related duties as assigned and regular and predictable attendance.Serve as a college ambassador and demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and professionalism. Provide excellent customer service internally and external to the organization.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMaster's degree in supporting discipline studies or related field, plus one year experience in an educational environment, or Bachelor's degree in supporting discipline studies or related field, and three years' experience in higher education, or a combination of education and experience.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports to the Director of External Programs and Operations but may vary upon organizational need.**Will be subject to a criminal background check.
