Educator for Digital Literacy and Computer Basics - Zoom School Online : Job Details

Position Overview:

ZoomGFX is seeking an experienced and passionate educator to teach Digital Literacy and Computer Basics to adult students who are transitioning in their careers and lives. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop essential skills for the modern workforce and daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons on digital literacy, including but not limited to:
• Basic computer operations
• Internet navigation and online safety
• Email and communication tools
• Productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Digital etiquette and troubleshooting
• Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of adult learners, including varying levels of experience and confidence with technology.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and growth.
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and feedback, ensuring they meet learning objectives.
• Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine curriculum materials and teaching strategies for client success.
• Stay updated on current digital trends and tools to ensure the program remains relevant and effective.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with adult learners or in a post-secondary education setting.
• Strong knowledge of computer basics, digital literacy concepts, and relevant software applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for lifelong learning.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience teaching in a hybrid or online learning environment.
• Certification in digital literacy or related areas (e.g., IC3, Microsoft Office Specialist).
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technology tools.
