Summary/ObjectiveThe EF&I Technician is responsible for verification of the cell site configuration, activation, and testing equipment in client's wireless network. This position works closely with the planning team to ensure that installs/upgrades sites are installed and activated, optimized, and tested to client's specific requirements. Essential Functions
- Working experience with Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia Equipment installation and integration.
- Understanding of OEM system and network protocols, configurations, and operations, and can demonstrate experience in completing complex core and network infrastructure projects.
- Installs, maintains, integrate, commission and repairs radio access nodes, core network transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks.
- Work with divisional resources to integrate and/or commission newly installed/upgraded equipment into wireless and fixed networks without customer service interruption.
- Interacts with other technicians and customer's technical staff.
- Integration, commissioning and troubleshoots Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia RBS/BTS.
- Assists and supports the effort to integrate and commissioning new cell sites.
- Ensure completion and timely submission of Closeout Packages (COPs).
- Knowledge and ability to verify all aspects of wireless network system components including RRU, BBU, routers, switches, cabling, and power equipment.
- Coordinate and complete final new site field inspection and provide full report and closeout documents.
- Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Work with local management and staff to identify and correct any unsafe conditions.

Competencies
- Proficient with Internet Protocol (IP) networking.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and quickly troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Experience integrating and troubleshoot all components of Wireless and Fixed network A&L system.
- Working knowledge of Ericsson RBS Element Manager (EMAS).
- Provide systems Level II and III support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Supervisory ResponsibilityResponsible for overseeing crew members engaged in Integration/Install activities; planning, directing, coordinating, tracking, assisting in cost control, meeting PNL objective, and ensuring a safe work environment for team members.Work Environment
- Indoor / Outdoor Cell sites.
- Must be capable of working both indoors and outdoors and may require working in direct sunlight or nighttime for up to 12 hours.
Physical Demands
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull 50+ lbs.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ericsson, Samsung Nokia BTS Certifications.
- Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia UMTS / LTE RBS integrator certified.
- Site Master, PIM &/or Fiber testing certified.
