Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities:

The EH&S Representative Air will report to the Director of Air and Compliance and focus time predominantly in our Appalachia locations, with additional responsibility for company-wide programs. The position will be hybrid work from home and office-based position based in any of our Appalachia locations, with a preference for either our Indiana, PA or our Waynesburg, PA office.

This role will be responsible for facilitating compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, Safety, Regulatory and local, state, and federal laws/regulations and DEC internal policies and procedures. Focus will be on air compliance in Pennsylvania.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pennsylvania air programs, permitting, and compliance support. Pennsylvania experience is preferred.
  • Appalachia air experience (PA, OH, WV, KY, TN) is preferred
  • Develop and implement air emissions programs, with emphasis on overall air emissions management, air permitting, greenhouse gas, reporting, and associated regulations.
  • Provide company compliance with GHG, NSPS, NESHAPS, RICE MACT, PA existing source rule, GP5 permits, and other regulatory regimes.
  • Support the preparation of emissions inventories including GHG reporting
  • Maintain positive working relationships with regulators
  • Provide guidance to field operations and operations leaders.
  • Perform field visits to verify data, work with operations to attain compliance, provide training, and manage projects.
  • Supervise multiple consultants effectively to increase quality and manage costs.
  • Solve problems with creative win-win solutions to produce significant results.
  • Perform primarily self-directed in area of responsibility.
  • Proactively support and/or leads EH&S initiatives, especially emission reduction programs that support the business and the organization's core values and corporate strategies.
  • Contribute to and influences team priorities as a strong team member or leader. Seeks the ideas and opinions of others. Encourage and motivate teams to accomplish results. Fosters trust. Successfully mentors those less experienced.
  • Makes recommendations after anticipating work/project requirements and considering business impact and risks.

  • Develop programmatic solutions to EHS issues and prepare business cases for recommended actions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Life or Earth Sciences, or Engineering Degree is required. An engineering degree is preferred. Other four-year degrees will be considered with applicable experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in oil and gas, with experience in air emissions
  • Experience with hands-on air emissions calculation methods, including GHGs is required.
  • Experience with ProMax software is preferred
  • Solid understanding of oil and gas operations and implications for compliance with air regulations.
  • Understanding of oil and gas operations, including equipment nomenclature and typical usage.
  • Understand environmental permit reading and application to operations.
  • Effective project management, business writing, presentation, training and leadership capabilities.
  • Basic awareness of investment economics including return on capital, payback analysis, cost benefit, present value, and business case preparation.
  • Working knowledge of mathematical calculations used in air emission and EH&S work.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to share expertise.
