Reasonable accommodation may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nAssists with the implementation of safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. This includes written programs, recordkeeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training.\nSupports on-site EHS initiatives, assignments, and processes.\nAssists in delivery of safety, health and environmental training programs to ensure employees' knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations pertaining to all ProAmpac facilities.\nCompletes, as assigned, monthly environmental recordkeeping and inspections as needed to assure compliance with applicable permits, regulations, and requirements.\nAssists with EHS programs, including hazardous waste disposal, cost control/reduction and accident prevention/ reduction, safety behavior audit and risk assessment programs.\nAssists with safety orientation of new hires, contractors and visitors which includes PIV certification if necessary.\nParticipates with site safety committee to inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and helps with follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.\nLearns to help analyze manufacturing processes, evaluating production machinery and or chemical exposures to determine safety hazards and alternative solutions.\nConducts inspections and audits to ensure compliance to the ProAmpac EHS standards.\nCommitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.\nAll other duties as assigned.\n\n Qualifications, Education and Experience\n\nInterest in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, or related subject matter.\n2 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment\nActive participant in site Safety Committee or other floor leadership efforts\nClean safety record and regular, documented participation in employee engagement programs.\nExperience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook preferred.\nMaintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.\nGood time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.\nAbility to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.\nProactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.\nSelf-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.\n\n \n Work Environment\n Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection as required.\n This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.\n \n Physical Demands\n The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
