The Quality/EHS Manager is responsible for establishing; implementing and maintaining an effective quality system that assures processes are followed and documented in relation to ISO 9001 standards, customer or company requirements. Key Responsibilities:Quality Management Duties: Participate in product planning and product qualification for new product development projects, in house or with third-party development partners, ensuring high quality of products released to manufacturing.Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints related to returned goodsEnsure project requirements are implemented and maintainedEstablish and maintain nonconforming materials system, and review in-process problemsEstablish RMA returns and Manufacturing in-process goals, track and report on performances. Initiate and drive Corrective Action projects based on parato analysis of failure causes.SPC reporting, and development of sampling plans and test methodsAct as management representative, both internally and externally, for ISO 9001 programLead the quality department in developing and operating a quality system that documents and assures processes are carried out.Plan schedule and perform quality audits to assess Powervar's compliance with the standards of ISO 9001, customer requirements, quality manual and general policies and procedures.Establish corrective and preventive action plans to evaluate adequacies and document results.Chair management review meetings and issue minutesEHS Duties: Develop and conduct compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanentDocument OSHA Response procedure and deliver training to all levels of the companyBe the primary driver of a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.Manage all compliance reporting and testingEstablish best practices in a manufacturing environment to ensure the identification and elimination of potential safety hazards using various methods including e.g., safety walks, safety training and kaizenCreate and deliver appropriate training throughout the organizationDesign, manage, and conduct Safety WalksEstablish, record, and publish a Safety metricManage adherence to NFPA70eManage compliance issues such as OSHA, and EPA reportingManage environmental issues such as EPA reporting, noise testing, air samplingDrive consistent and effective accident Root Cause investigationsFirst aid and Near Miss reporting follow upMaintain the MSDS library and monitor usage of materialsWorking with various Apps in Office 365Performing and following up on Accident/Incident investigationsReviewing & enforcing existing OSHA policies to keep them up to dateTraining Groups on Safety or Continuous Improvement topicsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Quality Engineering or related field is desiredMinimum of three years experience in electronic product development, preferably in power electronicsExperience with regulatory testing and approval, e.g. UL, TUV, FCC, CEKnowledge of ISO9001 standards and quality engineering practicesExperience using Metrology equipment both electrical and mechanicalDesired Qualifications: Knowledge of commonly used procedures, practices and concepts within an operational organization using ISO9000 practicesExcellent oral and written communication skills at several technical levels.Ability to work under minimum supervisionAbility to work well with other departments and lead improvement team efforts.Manage by facts, view work as a process, strive for continuous improvement ultimately providing superior customer satisfaction.Independent judgment in establishing prioritiesFamiliarity with an annual calibration process and associated follow-up activities.Expert knowledge of MS Office Software especially Excel, Word and Power point.Proficient in MS Office365Experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar roleKnowledge of, or Experience with Continuous Improvement and LeanGreat Interpersonal and Communication SkillsOSHA 10 or 30 HourWhat's in It for You: Competitive compensation, holiday pay, and paid time offGreat benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance401(k), plus matchingFlexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings account (HSA) with AMETEK contribution, life insurance, disability insurance, and family medical leaveEmployee referral programTuition reimbursement programEmployee assistance programExciting, fast-paced environment where you could make a true impactOpportunities for career advancement within our business unit and across all other AMETEK business entitiesAdditional Details:This role is in Rochester, New York, a city of rich culture and natural beauty.
