Job Description :

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our F&I US/CAN Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability team for summer 2025! As the EHS Intern, you will support continued improvements in injury/incident, and environmental performance for the segment. You will have the opportunity to participate and lead EHS improvements in 2025. This work will provide you with real world experience in managing Environmental, Health and Safety in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Your role will be:

  • Assist in the standardization of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) across the U.S
  • Analyze EHS related data to identify trends and assist in the development of appropriate action plans
  • Explore digital advancements to improve efficiency and overall performance
  • Working well with others across US/CA; effectively communicating with colleagues, project teams, including cross-functional team members, and key partners
  • Coordinating, summarizing and reporting data generated from related projects
  • Assist in operational improvements to Ingredion's EHSS Database
  • Presenting an overview of the activities and progress of the role to the F&I US/CAN Leadership Team
Your profile needs these qualifications:
  • Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written technical communication skills, e.g. making presentations and writing technical data/reports
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

  • Solid teamwork skills and creative problem solving

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:
  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
