The EHS Technician will assist the EHS Manager with all day-to-day EHS department duties. Within the role, you will apply your EHS knowledge and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and achieve short-term and long-term business goals
Essential Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain general knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support incident investigations and drive closure of corrective actions based on root-cause investigations.
- Assist with environmental, health & safety (EHS) tours, audits, & surveys to document compliance status.
- Collect data, prepare trending analysis , and prepare reports as required.
- Enforcement, communication, and improvement of EHS requirements.
- Conduct pulse audits, prepare EHS instructions, standard operating procedures, job-specific JSA's & plans as assigned.
- Waste management including maintaining storage areas and coordination of proper disposal.
- Conducts new hire EHS orientations and other EHS trainings as assigned.
- Maintain EHS files and records.
- Help implement new programs, policies and procedures.
- All other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years previous EHS experience
