Position: E&I Technician - Shift Electrician
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled E & I Shift Electrician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment within our facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial technical support role, collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient functioning of equipment. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on a variety of electrical systems within the facility.
- Act as a technical support lead during shifts, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to operational teams.
- Ensure smooth interaction and collaboration with Operations to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in complex systems and resolve them promptly to maintain operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and adhere to industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use a variety of electrical instruments and hand/power tools to conduct maintenance and repair work.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment as required.
- Perform routine inspections and monitor the condition of electrical systems to proactively identify issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent safety and attendance record; safety is a priority in this role.
- Training or technical degree in industrial electricity, electrical engineering, or a related field with extensive hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
- Experience with industrial networking and the integration of electrical systems.
- Proficient with the use of electrical instruments and hand/power tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex systems.
- Deep understanding of electrical principles and electronics.
- Experience with a wide range of electrical equipment, from basic systems to specialized industrial machinery.
- Prior experience working with overhead bridge cranes is highly desirable, as it will be integral to this role.
Compensation: $90-$95k (includes salary and weekly/monthly production bonuses)
