Responsibilities Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing various types of wire & conduit Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code Keep work area, machines, tools, and equipment clean Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties Respond to service requests from dispatch office Communicate with dispatch center, manager, customers, and peers Attend electrical classes either online or in person weekly.
