Electrical Design Engineer - AG Consulting : Job Details

AG Consulting Engineering, PC (AG) a design, engineering and construction management firm headquartered in Manhattan, New York is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support a variety of K-12 school projects in New York City. The Duration is long term. The location is in Long Island City, Queens. Candidate will need to be on site Monday to Friday.Position: Electrical Design EngineerLocation: Long Island City, Queens, NYProjects: Variety of CIP and New School projectsResponsibilities:The candidate's experience should include a broad range of completed projects related specifically to the MEP consultancy field of electrical engineering.Project experience should include (at a minimum) service utility coordination, primary and secondary power distribution for Federal/State/City/Agencies, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage infrastructure, emergency power systems, UPS design, and coordination with city and state permitting agencies.The candidate will be expected to lead the electrical design on a variety of project types, and will also be called upon to lead larger multi-discipline teams as the project manager, interfacing directly with the client.Prepare technical reports/specifications.The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to our clients.Mission Critical Experience is a plus.Requirements• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering• Minimum five years' experience designing electrical systems for the built environment.Must have a Professional Engineer License in the state of New York.A.G.
