In this role you will provide electrical engineering support to the maintenance department. This is an indirect leadership role within the maintenance department. While the technicians do not report to you, they will look to you to be a sounding board when there are struggling with maintenance issues. You will also be the Project Manager and leader for and projects where outside contractors are doing work on capital or other projects. This is not a sit behind a desk engineering role, they need someone who will spend a lot of their time out on the floor. Your time on the floor will include equipment troubleshooting, procedure reviews, new and improvement projects, design reviews, specification reviews, reports, and proper documentation of equipment information. Coordinate projects with outside consultants and corporate engineers from foreign cultures on process changes or design.They need someone who is also forward thinking, coming up with capital improvement plans for the future, working out an expense plan for it, to keep the plant current and reliable. They do have some PLCs and while it would be good if you had this experience, they will teach you and even send you to school for them if you do not have them and want to learn them. It is not that they need someone to program them, but they have a good team that works together, keeping the PLCs running.This is a Monday-Friday day shift role, but you will be on call for night and weekend emergencies and outages.Duties and responsibilities:- Follow all plant safety rules and report any unsafe conditions immediately.- Must be motivated, willing to work alone or with a group and a self-starter.- Provide electrical design, repairs, and facilities maintenance.- Support with electrical integrity program.- Evaluate and troubleshoot current and future electrical problems within the production facility.- Assist with the electrical design of process improvements.- Implement countermeasures to correct electrical issues.- Manage capital projects. Coordinate work between internal teams, engineering firms, and construction contractors.- Manage all requirements of MOC program for projects and process improvements.- Support the Reliability Team. Collect and interpret data and create projects to improve plant performance.Base is depending on experience + Presidential Discretionary Bonus (paid out in 16 of the last 17 years).
