Job Description :

Electrical Engineer The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and integrating components for cutting-edge power system technology.

The role requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency (Green Card) - most projects are for the US Government.

Daily Duties of Role...

  • Research, design, prototype, validate, and test new and existing electrical/electronic power and control systems based on customer specifications, assembly requirements and procedures, and Engineering design principles.
  • Produce and validate relevant technical documentation, including electrical schematics, etc. utilizing technologies that will provide the best performance and cost solutions.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve existing products with a focus on cost, quality, and sustainability.
  • Assist with the development of Engineering standards and operating procedures.
  • Recommend, develop and implement tools and practices to improve team productivity and capability.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience engineering power electronics.
  • Proficient with the use of SolidWorks electrical CAD design software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Proficient using basic hand tools.
  • Experience building and testing prototypes.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications into finished design.
  • Ability to develop and implement test plans.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide clear and concise reports with recommendations and supporting data.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience designing solar/hybrid power systems.
  • Experience designing electrical/electronic systems for rugged environment applications.
  • Experience with thermodynamics and cooling techniques.
  • Experience with hardware/firmware/software integration.
  • Experience with PCB design.
  • Familiarity with UL, NFPA 70: NEC, IEC, ANSI, and military standards.
  • Familiarity with EMI/RFI and their mitigation.
