Electrical Engineer - Insight Global : Job Details

Insight Global is hiring for a CONTRACT TO HIRE Electrical Engineer for $82,500-$141,000 (range is depending on experience) for a client in Oswego, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our energy infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the energy sector.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for energy generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
• Perform detailed electrical calculations and simulations to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
