Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

$85,000 - $140,000

We've partnered with a family-owned engineering firm in the DFW area. They specialize in construction engineering, focusing on MEP, structural, and aquatic engineering.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with thorough experience electrical system design within the residential and multi-family industry. The Electrical Engineer will bring a strong technical background, superb project management skill, and commitment to grow their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Design: power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, low-voltage (communications, fire alarms)
  • Ensure all designs meet building codes and standards: NEC, IES, local regulations
  • Load analysis: electrical load calculations and design power distribution systems
  • Lighting Design: create energy-efficient lighting layouts, controls, and ensure all is in compliance with IECC or LEED
  • Work closely with other disciplines, architects, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems
  • Prepare detailed construction drawing, specifications, and equipment schedules using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Oversee electrical engineering within projects
  • Communicate directly with clients to thoroughly understand project needs and provide expert guidance

    • Qualifications:

  • PE license
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system design for commercial or multi-family projects
  • AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with energy modeling
  • LEED AP (preferred)
